2023 was the worst wildfire season on record in Alberta, and over the last 5 years, 67% of wildfires in Canada have been human caused. We partnered up with our friends at Alberta Wildfires to bring attention to this jarring fact. Take a listen to our radio spot (🔉 below), where we created the feelings, sounds and senses of being outdoors, before letting listeners experience how quickly those sounds can turn to disaster. Congrats to our Young Lions, Brooke Langmaid & Sophia Storti! They just returned from the Winner’s Announcement at the CMDC Media Summit in Toronto with a Bronze award for their work, “Wasted Harvest”. We’re so proud 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 This year’s competitors were given 24 hours to create a print ad that drives awareness to Second Harvest and persuade people to prevent food waste. Brooke & Sophia illustrated this issue by juxtaposing garbage and farming. This ad shows a person using trash pickers to “harvest” fresh produce—representing how 60% of food produced for Canadians is wasted.

Showcasing some stellar work coming from our web team, who built a microsite for our partners at Winspear. The goal was to build a site that was more donation-focussed and helped engage users in a way that increased their level of interest in the Winspear Expansion project. Not only did it house all the crucial information - it looked pretty spiffy doing it.

Introducing the Woof Willow Dog Park from Westcreek Developments 🏘️ 🐾 The insight: dogs guide all your life's major decisions, from when you can exercise, to when you can eat, to where you live. The creative idea: “Not So Subtle Hints”, uses the POV of four-legged friends to relay their excitement to owners about visiting the newly opened Dog Park in Wolf Willow. The goal: Driving visits in the community, and interest to the site landing page to learn more (...although cuteness overload was an unofficial goal). The results: we saw a significant increase in campaign engagement and saw over 1,200 owners and their dogs attend the grand opening event. We also thoroughly enjoyed all treats, belly rubs, big stretches, and ear scratches along the way.
